Innerspring Mattresses

The most common type of mattress is an innerspring which is constructed with coils. When shopping for an innerspring mattress, not just because they all have springs in them, they are all not equal in quality.

Things to consider for an innerspring mattress:

• Are the coils individually wrapped? Individually wrapped coils cut down on movement transfer throughout the bed.
• Is it a single or double coil? Individually wrapped coils cut down on movement transfer throughout the bed.
• Is it foam encased? A foam encased mattress is where extra supportive foam is put in around all the edges of the mattress. This gives you extra support when you sit on the side of the mattress and prevents that feeling of falling off the bed.

Latex Mattresses

Latex mattresses are becoming more popular by the minute based on their comfort that causes people to feel a floating effect and ultimate support. These mattresses are extremely durable since they are made naturally from a rubber tree just like the tires on your vehicle. Latex is also extremely breathable allowing customers to not feel too hot at night while also staying hypoallergenic for all sleepers with allergens.

Things to consider for a latex mattress:

• Is it 100% latex? Unlike memory foam, latex is both a supportive and comfort material. This means there can be 100% latex beds like our Posh and Lavish mattress line. These beds have no filler in them and focus on natural materials like latex, cotton, wool, and Tencel to give you the best sleep. There are less expensive latex mattresses that can give you the benefit of latex but cut cost by adding coils or a different foam base. • Where is the mattress made? We pride ourselves in finding American made companies. Both of our latex lines, Posh and Lavish and Foreverbed are proudly built in America.
• What is the warranty? Latex mattresses are the longest lasting of all different types of mattresses. Both of our latex lines, Posh and Lavish and Foreverbed have warranties that stand by the longevity of their products. Posh and Lavish has a 20-year full warranty and Foreverbed has a Forever Warranty for as long as you own the mattress

Memory Foam Mattresses

Originally designed to provide proper support for side sleepers, memory foam has become a fan favorite for many years. On a memory foam mattress, your heaviest body parts sink into the mattress providing proper spinal alignment.

Things to consider for a memory foam mattress:

• Not all memory foams are the same! It is all about foam density! We have several different lines of memory foam mattresses in store. They range in price and quality. The quality of a memory foam mattress has to do with the foam density of the memory foam. For example, the top-of-the-line memory foam bed is Tempur-Pedic. Tempur material is a high-density version of memory foam that was developed by NASA for shock absorption for astronauts in space. In our stores, we have an example of regular memory foam and tempur material, and there is an obvious quality difference between the two.
• What is the cooling technology used?Memory foam by itself will hold in your body heat and create a hot pocket where you sleep. That is why they have to put gel, copper, and phase change material in the mattress to keep you cool throughout the night.
• Is it a hybrid or an all foam? Memory foam mattresses come in two different forms. A Hybrid mattress, which is memory foam on top for comfort and coils lower down in the mattress for support. You can get an all-foam mattress, but it will NOT be all memory foam. Memory foam is just a comfort foam, therefore it needs either coils or a supportive foundational foam underneath for support. It will have layers of memory foam on top but will need a more supportive foam at its base.
